October is the one we wait all year for. The county turns into one big pumpkin patch, the corn mazes open up, and there is a Halloween something happening every single weekend.
Here is the whole month, patches and all, so you can plan before it books up. Grab a cider. We got you.

The five we would not want you to miss, in order.
Fairfield, 1795 Pennsylvania Ave, 7 to 10. This year's theme is The Coven: witches, curses, and a haunted forest. $14, or $12 for military with ID, and every dollar goes to Fairfield PAL's college and career program. Scream for a good cause.
Vallejo Waterfront, 10 to 6. Whaleboat races on the strait, live music all day, food, art, and kid stuff. Proceeds go to local nonprofits.
First Street, Benicia, 1 to 5. Fifteen sips, 25-plus shops, and a whole street of witches. Wear the hat.
Downtown Winters. Three days of music, food, and a fun run.
Downtown Vacaville. Adults-only Halloween Friday, family trick-or-treat Saturday.

Vacaville · Pleasants Valley Rd
This beloved little herb farm is trying something for the very first time this year: Pumpkin Patch Weekends, October 3 through November 1. Pumpkins, flowers, and a lawn full of kid-friendly games out on Pleasants Valley Road.
Two bonus days to circle: a Scarecrow Competition on October 10, and a Great Pie-off on October 17. Support the little guy and start a new fall tradition.

Morningsun is up top. Here is where else to fill the trunk this month.
The Guinness-record corn maze, 60-plus acres, plus a Kid Zone, hayrides, and the pumpkin cannon. Open daily 9 to 8 through Oct 31. $22, under 5 free.
Over 50 varieties, from minis to 1,000-pound Atlantic Giants. Plus a kids' play area, a corn maze, and vintage cars and trucks set up for photos.
The most bang for the buck: tractor rides, a field maze, pumpkin chucking, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a giant hay-bale fortress. Proceeds help the nonprofit museum.
Low-key and dog-friendly. Pumpkins in every shape, seasonal crafts, a scarecrow contest, and easy photo spots for all ages.
The Heart Of It
Home base, by city. Tap an event for details and times.
Vacaville
Downtown, 5 to 9. An evening market with food, live music, and vendors up and down the street.
Winters
Downtown, 3 to 5. Artist meet-and-greets, demos, and wine specials.
Benicia
Benicia. The town's arts community throws its big night at The Clocktower.
Downtown Benicia. The whole of First Street turns into a costumed trick-or-treat. Check the date closer in.
Fairfield & Suisun
Fairfield. Neighborhoods and first responders together. Great for families.
Fairfield. A holiday-edition vendor market plus fall games for the kids.
The Harvest Trails. Our own wine country is at its peak. Tasting rooms, u-pick, and roadside farm stands, ten minutes from home.
Dixon
Downtown Dixon. Scarecrows all over town and a raffle to take one home.
Pardi Plaza, 4 to 8. Craft beer, a keepsake glass, and live music. 21+.
Downtown Dixon. Fiendish family fun down Main.
Reserve The Table
The hot new spot everyone is talking about, a fall bakery run, and a local legend.
The sushi spot the whole area has been raving about since it opened. Ramen, sashimi, and creative small plates, with fish as fresh as it gets. The same team is bringing a second concept, Wasabi, to Fairfield soon.
1160 Pitt School Rd. The fall lineup is out: seasonal donuts, pastries, and drinks. This family bakery has been feeding Solano since 1941, when it started as a donut shop in Fairfield. Grab a box on your way to the pumpkin patch.
2 Main Street. A Winters institution for decades. Dry-aged steaks, a proper bar, and a room where the whole town shows up. Book a booth and settle in.

The scenery that makes this place home in the fall.
Downtown Dixon. Half the fun is walking it. Dozens of scarecrows, each one different, all October.
Winters & Lake Solano. The cottonwoods turn gold along the creek. A short, pretty drive with a coffee in hand.
The Signature
Oct 3-4 · Dixon May Fair
Here is one most people drive right past. Lambtown takes over the Dixon May Fair the first weekend of October: sheep and alpacas, sheepdog demos, fiber-arts booths, food, and shopping you will not find anywhere else.
Quirky, local, and exactly the sort of "how did I not know about this?" find we live for.
Around The County
What's changing close to home.
Our little wine country is having a moment. Village 360 is reimagining the heart of the valley, and Solano Landing, a new place to dine, sip, and stay, is on the way. Worth watching.
Our sibling town rolls out a full fall season: harvest happenings, downtown arts and music, and some of the best flat bike rides around. An easy, breezy day trip.
